When we claim a speed we stick to it. Try a speed check on your current nbn connection at different times, and you’ll see typical speed fluctuations of up to -25% and even up to -60%. Rippa plans don’t suffer more than 5% speed flux. BTW - our top-end plan runs so fast that we publish a range of 250-400mbps but we don’t let it drop below 240mbps
NOTE: Home set-up can affect speed. E.g position of modem, wireless vs ethernet connection and house construction materials. But we will help with all of those things when we come and install for you.
You may need more upload speed than you think. Most internet plans emphasize download speeds, which are great for video and social media streaming but often overlook the importance of providing robust upload speeds. Modern web services like internet calling, video conferencing, online gaming, and cloud-based services all depend on a fast upload speed to function effectively. Poor upload speeds can lead to issues such as glitchy audio or video, sluggish photo syncing, and lag during online gaming. Which services do you use that rely on a strong upload speed?
Unlike early internet plans, modern broadband plans are based on the speed you’d like to receive. Rippa only has three plans and they are all fast but to make sure you select the right one think about your peak usage requirements and see which scenario below best matches your needs.
If you call, sms or email you’ll talk to someone on the ground in the Northern Rivers and if there is some kind of issue our technicians are only and hour or two away not a week away.
You can either register your interest on our network map, and we’ll respond within 48 hours, or simply call/email us.
If we’re already operational in your area, we can have you installed in less than 10 days (typically 5). If you’re in an area where we’re planning to expand, we’ll keep you informed about the installation date. Remember, it only takes 25 customers to create a Rippa network, so if you’re eager, encourage your friends and neighbours to sign up, and we’ll have you all on fast internet even sooner.
If your town is stuck with unsatisfactory NBN, we can help. Gather 25 locals, and we'll step in to provide your town with the much-needed extreme internet makeover. Typically, we can revamp a small regional town in a matter of weeks. If you can't rally 24 others right away, simply reach out to discuss options for improving your town.
